Indian Passport - Adult - Married

Note: You can only renew your passport within one year of the passport’s expiry.

For e.g. if your passport expires on 5 March 2027, you can only apply for renewal on 5 March 2026 onwards. Not before 5 March 2026.

Further note: Tatkal Indian Passport service (expedited passport service) does not exist in Australia.

  • If you are married and your spouse’s name is on the last page of your passport, bring:

    1. Indian passport

    2. Current Australian visa grant notice

    3. Adhaar card number (if available)

    4. 2 x photos and in some cases 3 x photos (if there is a change of appearance like with or without turban etc.). Size: 35mm x 45mm. Hard copy and soft copy required for application. If you go to Australia Post or Officeworks then please ask them for an email copy of the digital photo.

      If you don’t have photos we can take in our office.

    If you are married and your spouse’s name is not on the last page of your passport, bring the following additional documents:

    1. a photocopy of the first and last page of your spouse’s passport signed by your spouse with the signature identical to their passport

    2. a photocopy of your marriage certificate. If you were married in Australia, a photocopy of your marriage certificate certifed by a Justice of Peace

    Photo 35mm x 45mm fee (if required): $15

  • 6 - 8 weeks from lodgement

Note: VFS Perth currently accept applications via post or in person by booking an appointment. No walk-ins are available at VFS Perth.
