If you have an OCI card before the age of 20 and there is no name change and change of nationality then bring the following documents:

Minor (under 20):

1. New Australian passport

2. Previous Australian passport linked to OCI card

3. Existing OCI card

4. 2” x 2” photo up to shoulders. We can take photo in the office if needed.

5. If applicant has signed their Australian passport then their signature on a white piece of paper matching their Australian passport. This is only required if applicant not coming in person to the office.

6. Family member’s OCI cards

7. If applicant previously held Indian passport, then Australian citizenship certificate and cancelled Indian passport.

Adult:

If you have an OCI card before the age of 50 and you have crossed the age of 50 years and there is no name change and change of nationality then bring the following documents:

1. New Australian passport

2. Previous Australian passport linked to OCI card

3. Existing OCI card

4. 2” x 2” photo up to shoulders. We can take photo in the office if needed.

5. If applicant has signed their Australian passport then their signature on a white piece of paper matching their Australian passport. This is only required if applicant not coming in person to the office.

6. Family member’s OCI cards

7. If applicant previously held Indian passport, then Australian citizenship certificate and cancelled Indian passport.

Amarjit Shah Singh fee: $80 per application where physically present. $120 per application if application completed remotely (e.g. through emails).

Government fee: $0

Photo 2” x 2” inch fee (if required): $15

No new OCI will be issued until the applicant is aged 20 years. The applicant will only receive an email acknowledgment that confirms that the new passport is linked to the OCI.

You will receive an email acknowledgement on the day application is lodged and an email 2 - 3 months after confirming that the new passport is linked to the OCI.

There are no restrictions to travel in the intervening time.
