Please bring all the following original documents for scanning.

All photocopies must be certified by a Justice of Peace only (e.g. not a pharmacist, doctor, lawyer etc.) You can find a list of JPs at the link below.

1. Photocopy of Minor’s Australian or Foreign Passport (JP certified)

2. If holding foreign passport other than Australian passport, then provide a photocopy of Australian Medicare card or Australian PR visa (JP certified)

3. Photocopy of Parent’s Australian Passport (JP certified)

4. If one parent has Indian passport, then provide a copy of the first and last page of the Indian passport (JP certified)

5. Photocopy of Minor’s birth certificate (JP certified)

6. If any family member already has an OCI card, bring the existing OCI card of the family member

7. One parent of minor needs to be present in order to do the application

8. If Minor won’t be present and has signed their own signature in their foreign / Australian passport, provide a signature of the minor on plain white paper that matches the passport signature exactly

9. 2” by 2” photo of minor (can be taken at our offices)

10. If minor has a previous Indian passport not yet cancelled, then bring original Indian passport and copy of Australian citizenship certificate for preparing an Indian Passport Surrender Application.

11. If minor had a previous Indian passport cancelled already then we need the surrender certificate and cancelled Passport.

12. Completed form found below that is also attested by a Justice of Peace (JP). Both parents need to sign affidavit in front of JP. See download form button below

Amarjit Shah Singh fee: $95 per application where physically present. $150 per application if application completed remotely (e.g. through emails).

VFS Global fee: $456.73

Photo 2” x 2” inch fee (if required): $15

Passport cancellation fee (if required): $225

Surrender fee for cancelling Indian passport:

Amarjit Shah Singh PVS fee: $75 where physically present. $115 where completed remotely (e.g. through emails)

OCI: 6 - 8 weeks

Passport cancellation: 2 - 3 weeks

Both will be separately sent by Australian courier post. Cancellation confirmation will come first followed by the OCI in a later package
